Kilmore Under 12 Girls became the first team to win a league title this season. The Kilmore girls clinched the title this evening with several points to spare.This is a first under age title for Kilmore who were only formed in 2002. They have gone from strength to strength in girls football and are fast becoming one of the leading girls clubs in Mayo.

Castlebar Celtic striker Colm Nevin was the hero in a tough battle this afternoon against Port Vale. Mayos Under 13 team had a dream start today in the Repton Festival, with a solid win over Tranmere Rovers. Ballina Towns Cian Burke provided the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute when he showed great technique and vision to power the ball into the top left hand corner. The game was played at pace and with plenty of skill from both teams. After a slow start Mayo got into the game and played some fine possesion football. Overall Mayo deserved the win.

The Mayo under 13 Squad left Knock Airport today for their annual trip to Repton in Derbyshire. Over the next few days Mayo will take on Academies from several English profesional clubs including Stoke City and Manchester United. Their first match tomorrow will be against Tranmere Rovers followed by Port Vale in the afternoon.
