Both Mayo Gaynor Cup Squads saw Semi-Final action at a bitterly cold Solar 21 Park, Milebush, Castlebar on Saturday afternoon.Up first kicking off at midday was the U13s hosting Galway in a western derby. Both Mayo Gaynor Cup squads made the huge 530 km round trip to the Inishowen peninsula on Saturday for their latest Group matches. The U13s were up first kicking off at 2pm against hosts Inishowen. The young Mayo side immediately got into their stride and Amy Murphy had the first chance in the 2nd minute just wide. Murphy then worked a one-two with Roisha Burke before working the home keeper. The Mayo U13 Girls were in Ballisodare to face Sligo-Leitrim in their opening Gaynor Cup match Sunday evening. Playing with the considerable breeze in the 1st half the Mayo girls found it hard to gauge their forward passes and Kate Byrne executed the first of many timely interventions from left back in the 4th minute.
